Bill Abraham and Stacy live in Michigan,USA. He was 57 when he was diagnosed on March 26, 2009. His initial PSA was 6.0 ng/ml, his Gleason Score 7 was and although he does not state his staging, it seems likely he was staged T1c. He is undecided as to his choice of treatment. Here is his story.

Just started this crazy journey. Have no idea which treatment to choose, but choose I must at some point.

I am REALLY grateful to have found this board, and thanks to all the people who have gone thru this for their comments. Also to Webmaster Terry for maintaining this board. I am wondering if anyone read the book "90 days to Prostate Health" before being treated, and tried some of the things mentioned with any success? Very interesting book.**1

I have decided to have Robotic Surgery on September 2, 2009 here in Detroit with Dr. Peabody, a partner of Dr.Menon. I spoke with him on May 19, and feel this is the way to go, for me anyway.

There were many factors involved in my decision, but at the top of the list were the comments and positive feedback from members on this board. Thank you to all who e-mailed me, it made the decision making process easier and gave me hope that I can be cancer free in the future without feeling like I gave up too much on the QOL issue.

The main thing now is trying to get prepared mentally, the after surgery part I can deal with, the waiting is another matter.
