David Linstein and Susan live in Texas USA. He was 62 when he was diagnosed in
February, 2009. His initial PSA was 16.0 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 7 and he
was staged T2. His choice of treatment was laparoscopic robotic surgery. Here
is his story.
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in February 2009.
I had Da Vinci Surgery in March of 2009.
I went through a lot of anxiety
before the surgery. Somewhere I read you really don't think about it until it
is over.
My sex life consists of masturbation. About two weeks after the
surgery I had an orgasm, the erection was half of what it was before. I tried
again two weeks later and got an erection and climax although it was weak. Before
the surgery I wasn't getting a good climax anyway. The ejaculate was weak. I believe
the biopsy screwed me up. The implications of what was taken out get to you later.
It doesn't bother me.
I have a slight incontinence and have wet the bed
twice. I have good erections I am with my wife as of yet no sex with her. The
sex life wasn't that good anyway. I never gave cancer much thought I am glad it
didn't spread.
