BRONZE

David Langston lives in East Sussex. England. He was 62 when he was diagnosed in February 2006. His initial PSA was 17.0 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 4+3=7 and he thinks he was staged T3, although it is difficult to tell from his story. His choice of treatment was hormone - ADT (Androgen Deprivation Therapy) and radiation - EBRT (External Beam Radiation Treatment). Here is his story - a good deal has been omitted and I have asked David to fill in the blanks.

Hello all. Will add more in due course.

I was told at the time an aggressive cancer and a little later local nymph nodes enlarged deduced from scans but no bone mets. The usual suspects in the last three years, Radiation and Zoladex side effects, sweats, tiredness and low libido but as far as I can tell no kick back from the cancer its self and feeling ok.

PSA at January 20009 was 0.24 the lowest recorded but in March, 2009 it was 0.31 and tested today with result tomorrow. So this may be the start of trouble ahead with drug now refractive. Testosterone has been at castrate levels for some time but up a little bit recently.

I will update the result in the next few days.

Later:

Hi all.

Latest PSA as at 18th April 0.31 so no change since March result but not down as I hoped to January level (0.24). The lowest ever so wondering if this the start of Zoladex going refractive?

David.
