David Satz and Jeanne do not say where they live, but it seems from his e-mail address that it is somewhere in Australia. He was 69 when he was diagnosed on August 12, 1996. His initial PSA was 12.5 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 2+3=5 and although he does not say what he was staged, it seems likely that it was T1c . His choice of treatment was EBRT (External Beam Radiation Therapy). Here is his story.

During November 1996 my PSA reading reached 17.0 ng/ml. After seven weeks of radiation my PSA reading dropped down to 1.5 ng/ml but during June 1999 it rose to 3.7 ng/ml and in October 1999 it was 9.7 ng/ml and in January 2000 the reading was 16.2 ng/ml

From January 2000 I started receiving hormone treatment with a three monthly injection of Zoladex 10.8 and the PSA reading dropped down to 1.8 ng/ml and then down to 0.10 ng/ml until November 2003.

Since then and to date hereof the reading 3 monthly has fluctuated between 0.10 ng/ml to 0.50 n/ml, the average being 0.30 ng/ml.

My last PSA reading was on the 16th January 2008 and the reading was 0.05 ng/ml
