Jimmy
James and Sylvie live in Montreal, Canada. He was 52 when he had an elevated PSA
in July 2007. His initial PSA was 4.5 ng/ml. He has not had a biopsy nor has he
been diagnosed as having prostate cancer. Here is his story
I'm 53
years old, in fairly good shape - 5'11" 185 pounds - blond, blue eyes, with no
family cancer history
July 2007, PSA 4.5 No symptoms
August 2008....PSA
5.7
October 2008...PSA 6.6,still no symptoms
All the rectal exams are
normal.
My urologist wants to do a biopsy, but I am afraid it can spread
the cancer, and I am also afraid of the after side affects of surgery, sex, and
urine problems.
I'm going out of the country for six months, to relax and
take care of my health. In these six months I will eat all that is good for my
situation, relax, yoga …. and will decide after that.
I will have a another
PSA test every 3 months and will get another or maybe two other doctors before
I do anything.
I really believe that I have a good chance to cure the cancer,
its my after life that worries me. My wife and I have been together for 26 years,
and sex was always very important to us as a couple; we are active a minimum of
three to four times a week, I feel I'm losing control of my life. I have a wonderful
wife..3 great kids, 2 grand children, and very happily married thank you and I
will keep updated of my moves
