BRONZE

Ken Tescher and Amy do not say where they live but it seems to be USA. He was 57 when he was diagnosed on March 24, 2008. His initial PSA was 5.4 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 7 and he says he was staged T2c, but this was in all likelihood his pathological staging. He is undecided as to his course of treatment . Here is his story.

Newly diagnosed, leaning towards seeds and radiation. Has anyone been treated at RCOG (Radiation College of Atlanta) in Atlanta?

Tom, Ken's brother, reports that Ken had his surgery July 8th and is doing great. He just had his first 6 week checkup and it came back undetectable. We are hoping it stays that way for a long time to come. Both our doctors seem to think long term outlook is good.

Tom, Ken's brother, reports that Ken is doing great also, his last check was zero detection and he's getting erectile function back. He asked that the surgeon spare both nerve bundles, Tom's took the left side as that's where his cancer was located. He thinks that's likely the difference.

Tom, Ken's brother, reports that Ken is still at zero after about 1.5 years. So the hope is it stays that low for a long time to come.
