Steven Thomson and Rosa live in Arizona, USA. He was 55 when he was diagnosed
in December 2008. His initial PSA was 1,448.0 ng/ml, he does not know what his
Gleason Score was and he was staged T4. His choice of treatment was ADT (Androgen
Deprivation Therapy). Here is his story.
In December 2008 I entered the
hospital for not being able to go pee. After some tests were done, I was diagnosed
with advanced prostate cancer. The signs were there, I just didn't listen. stupid,
huh? On December 17, the oncologist came and told me that my PSA was 1,448.0.
After some shaving off of the prostate, and more prodding and probing, I went
home on January 2, 2009. When I was released, my PSA was 1,118.0. I was taking
Casodex, coumadin, and doing the monthly Zometa, and Lupron every three months.
On
February 9, 2009, my PSA was 611.0. I was not well. I was weak, the medication
was making me nauseated all the time. on February 25, my PSA was 736.6. my next
PSA was taken on May 27th - it was up to 1,014.0.
I was getting rather
upset over this rollercoaster ride with this cancer. I decided to stop the coumadin,
Casodex and just continue with the Zometa and Lupron. I started taking a organic
substitute. This I did in early July. The organic substitute is Aloe Vera, honey,
and a little mescal.**1 After
three weeks of taking this, I had extreme pain in my legs, three days of vomiting,
and large amounts of diarrhoea. Three weeks later, the same thing. By the middle
of September, I had increased energy, my strength came back, my appetite increased,
and I was feeling great.
I had my PSA taken on October 5, and the reading
was, ya' all ready for this, it was 16.1. Remember, on may 27th it was 1,014.0.
I had it taken again on October 28th and my reading was 13.3. The range for my
age is <4.1 ng/ml. A miracle? Is it the Aloe Vera? Is it faith? Is it all of the
above?
If any of you need proof, just e-mail me and I will send you a
copy of my results. The side affects I endured with the Casodex and coumadin were
not pleasant. I had to find an alternative treatment. And no, I did not inform
my oncologist.**2 As
far as he knows, the meds he prescribed is doing the job. I can't discount the
fact that the Lupron and Zometa are helping. But, I cannot discount the fact that
the Aloe Vera, Zometa, and Lupron are responsible for my rapid remission. I remember
the doctor telling me that I had three to five years of life left. Not now! I
expect to see my 80th birthday.
God bless all you men out there with the
cancer.
Have hope and keep the faith.

Note
1: Compounds extracted from Aloe vera have been used as an immunostimulant that
aids in fighting cancers in cats and dogs; however, this treatment has not been
scientifically tested in humans. The injection of Aloe vera extracts to treat
cancer has resulted in the deaths of several patients. [back]
Note
2: This is most unwise and unfair and potentially dangerous. Medical practitioners
MUST be told if alternative medications are taken. There can be significant and
dangerous interactions between the effects of alternative medicine and mainstream
drugs. [back]
