I am exactly five years out from radical prostate cancer open surgery. All PSA results have been undetectable after surgery. I did have problems with incontinence the first four months after surgery but sticking to Kegel exercises cured it but every so often I will have a slight leak! I then do a bunch of Kegels and it takes care of the leak! My journey started with a mass found in my groin area. The tumor was benign but suspicious. A while after that I had an infection in the groin area. My PSA went from 0.2 to 2.9. Biopsy was done and cancer detected. Here I am today with a positive outlook on life with my wife and three teenage boys. Glad I had kids before the cancer was detected. Thanks for letting me share my story!
I am six years post surgery and still negligible PSA. Current health issues are lower back fusion will be scheduled shortly for L3-L4. Believe disc herniation is pushing on bladder causing double urination. I have to void then void again. I've had some leakage too but doing Kegels stops it. Also having disc issues in neck after having fusion surgery in 2013. Pain down shoulder to hands with numbing and stinging in both hands. Doing PT for neck issues now. Ribs also hurting. Eating healthy in hoping to keep cancer away!
Open RPC Surgery was on Sept. 1st, 2010. Just had Bilateral Hernia Open Surgery on November 29th, 2017. Have Moderate Arthritis in right hip that will need surgery, Probably next year as injections and PT not helping!
