First of all, here is a list of my PSA readings since 2009:
06/15/2009 PSA 2.5 ng/ml
07/01/2010 PSA 3.6 ng/ml
07/13/2011 PSA 3.1 ng/ml
12/18/2013 PSA 4.7 ng/ml
11/25/2014 PSA 6.2 ng/ml
02/14/2016 PSA 6.5 ng/ml
05/10 2016 PSA 6.5 ng/ml
The original doctor I had back in 2009 said nothing about a problem. It wasn't til Feb 2016 did my new doctor suggest I see a urologist. I have probably had PCa since December of 2013 but had no knowledge of it. My first reading of PSA 6.2ng/ML was not known about until 2016. My original doctor retired and I was never told about the results of the test. I am a bit upset that I wasn't told and probably would have acted sooner but it's "water under the bridge now"...
I am scheduled for Laparoscopic DaVinci surgery on October 6th 2016. Thanks to my urologists insistence. My surgery is being done at George Washington University Hospital by Dr. Harold Frazier. After extensive research, I decided to go with Dr. Frazier who is an expert in his field with over 3,000 Laparoscopic DaVinci surgeries under his belt...
