Louis H and Korrine lived in Kansas, USA. He was 57 when he was diagnosed in September, 2015. His initial PSA was 154.00 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 8, and he was staged T4. His initial treatment choice was ADT-Androgen Deprivation (Hormone) (ADT2) and his current treatment choice is None. Here is his story.

Hi, diagnosed with prostate cancer that has spread to the hip and lower back. I was put on Lupron for about six months, without affecting my PSA level at all. In fact my PSA level increased. My doctor now has put me on a six month treatment of Xofigo along with starting Xtandi. My first treatment of Xofigo went well, other than side effects (vomiting, nausea, diarrhea). I must admit that my bone pain that I have been suffering at night has really started to subside. Now comes the job of lowering my PSA levels. Tried Zytiga for a week until DR. pulled me off due to blood work showing adverse reaction to Zytiga. So now I'm about to start on Xtandi once I get the blessings from my insurance company. I'm about to start my second treatment of Xofigo next week. I will update my progress on this site as things change. It is sure a nice feeling typing this message. God Bless... Louis

Hi, just finished my 3rd treatment of Xofigo. My PSA has increased by 50 since my last entry.

Still a lot lower than 785 two months ago. Not sure about getting started on Xtandi since I have read a lot of dangerous side effects. Will continue to update as things change.... GOD Bless.

Hi, just finished my fourth treatment of Xofigo. My PSA level is starting to go up now at 235.

Starting on Xtandi, still on Lupron and Xgeva for bone strength. No bone pain compared to prior to starting on Xofigo. Will continue to update as things change. GOD Bless..... Louis

Hi, just finished my 5th treatment of Xofigo. PSA is now at 300. Starting on XTANDI tomorrow. No bone pain at all. Concerned about my PSA level as it is now double what it was at first diagnosis. I have one more treatment of Xofigo to go. Don't know where this is going. Holding my weight and still working at the age of 59. Will update next month. GOD bless.........Louis

Hi, two weeks from my final treatment of Xofigo. Feeling good no bone pain to speak of.

I just found out yesterday that a fellow electrician that has recently retired has found out that he also has PC PSA 15 and Gleason score of 8. I'm going on two years since diagnosis, still working at age of approaching 60. Will continue to update as things change. GOD Bless....Louis

Hi, about to go through my last treatment of Xofigo in a couple of days. I've been on Xtandi for a week now and my PSA has dropped 52 points, now at 242. Nothing to celebrate but at least it hasn't gone up.

No bone pain to speak of so far. Still on Lupron and Xgeva. My weight has stayed the same and I can still work at the age of approaching 60. I will continue to update as time goes on......GOD Bless. Louis

Hi , Well just finished my last treatment of Xofigo ( Radium 223) . It's been 3 weeks since I started

taking Xtandi and I know 1 week into taking it my PSA level dropped 50 points to 241 . My Dr. wants to wait another month to do another run on bone scan and PET scan to see the comparison from before starting on Xofigo and after . I have another PSA test scheduled in a week , I'm praying my PSA is still on the downward slope . Still no no bone pain or noticeable new symptoms. Feeling OK other than the nausea , fatigue and loss of appetite. Still holding my weight ( was 269 lb at diagnosis , now I'm at 250 lbs ) , so not that big of a change. I'm a maintenance electrician so at times my troubleshooting abilities are being affected . Will update as soon as I find out more with my upcoming scans and PSA tests. GOD Bless....Louis

Hi Readers, I was reading my story and noticed there is a time gap between diagnosis and where I'm at now . At the time of diagnosis September 2015 , I was in great shape walking my German Shepherd 2 miles a day. At the time I needed to refill a B/P medication and insurance declined until a full physical was done. That's when the PSA came back with a reading of 154. After the confirmation via biopsy , scans ect , I was stage four. It also explained the pain that I was suffering in my hip and starting to spread down my right femur. Not Arthritis as my GP diagnosed and I had been taking pain killers along with anti-inflammatory meds for six months prior. So once diagnosed my urologist gave me my fist shot of Fermagon. Within five days the excruciating pain subsided.I also underwent Direct Beam Radiation for the hip and Femur area. So with no pain, I after much research decided to do my own protocol of alternative treatments. I didn't want to continue on ADT treatments along with the undesirable side effects. So for the following six months I went on the baking soda and molasses thing. Along with B-17 (leatril) and other things that I had read about. Six months later I was back in the Dr's office with new pains in the back and ribs. And back on ADT I went. GOD Bless...Louis

Hi, just a small update. Finished with the last Xofigo treatment over a week ago. PSA has dropped from a score of 242 down to 22.2. It seems Xtandi is doing its job. Just wish I felt better. No bone pain to speak of, just constantly fatigued. I couldn't take the trash out without this weekend without getting dizzy and losing my lunch in front of my house!! Time to look into an early retirement. Trouble is my age 60. Will be doing the bone scan and CT scan in about a month. Will update then. GOD bless...Louis

Well another update. I'm finally recuperating from the final Xofigo treatment. Just had another PSA drawn, down to 10.5 now : ) !! Lowest reading since diagnosis. Bone scan is scheduled tomorrow to compare before and after the Xofigo treatments. Will update the results. GOD bless.... Louis

UPDATED

July 2017

Well I received the results from my bone scan comparison from before the Xofigo infusions and after (6 monthly infusions) with fantastic results!! All previous known lesions are now GONE!!

PSA still needs to drop a little but my urologist and oncologist are very happy with the results.

Had them draw another PSA today to see if the Xtandi is still lowering my level. Xofigo has gained an advocate here. :) GOD Bless you all..... Louis

September 2017

Hi, a small update. Recently I suffered multiple side effects that I attribute to Xtandi. Been on it two months now. So needless to say I took myself off of it. Had a PSA test along with a CBC done recently. Pleased with the results PSA at 3.2 and testosterone at 20. Keep in mind I still have my prostate, no surgeries have been done. Considering I lit up like a Christmas tree on a bone scan prior of being treated with six months of Xofigo and now no lesions. Will update as things change. God Bless....Louis.

Hi , Don't know where to start. It seems that there might be something to this R.S.O. or CBD oil mixed with THC consumed three times a day . I have 1 1/2 tsp. three times a day along with THC intake.

I have done this for four months straight... and I must admit that I haven't felt this good since before diagnosis. The potency of the CBD is 2000mg. My doctor is amazed with my progress, writes down what I'm doing since it's not something that they are doing. There is a lot to this kind of treatment, I suggest watching a very informative and scientific breakdown on how CBD works against this awful disease. The program is called Marijuana, Miracle Cure Parts 1/2 can be found on YouTube.

Just an alternative treatment that's out there but not very well known and certainly not TOXIC!! and easy on the body compared to Chemo or Radiation..... GOD Bless... Louis

April 2018

Hi, back for an update on my journey. Well got my latest PSA results. 342!! Not good, but not much left to try other than what I am doing for now. Pain on my left lower back (kidney area) that I need to address with my Doc. Right hip and Femur have already been treated with Direct beam radiation, already have been treated with Xofigo (six monthly infusions). Other than that I'm feeling physically good so far. Still on Lupron and Xgeva for now. Don't know where to go from here. GOD Bless...Louis

July 2018

Hi, still here and working full time. Dr. wants to put me on hospice. That's not going to happen! The latest PSA is at 582. Started on Xtandi again 3 weeks ago. Getting nausea attacks a lot but no bone pain to speak of yet. Now at the age of 61, I'm on the verge of retiring. I would like to reach out to all of you and inform you of Humic and Fulvic acid supplements. I have been taking it for over a month now, it is a natural substance that is designed to revive the immune system (the cause of all cancers). Unlike the toxic Provenge Immunotherapy that the medical world has but this is totally natural. I encourage that you research this product. GOD Bless ..... Louis

August 2018

Hi, I just got my latest results back on my PSA ... down to 79 from 582 in one month's time.

Again I encourage you to research and purchase Humic and Fulvic Acid dietary supplements.

I have been taking these supplements for one month. I would mention where I'm purchasing these products, but I don't think the forum moderator would allow that. I consume these supplements via green tea packets and capsules, totally natural and safe. Monthly cost of only $180 a month. Also research a product by the name APEX, which I just received and about to start.

I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A POSITIVE RESULT IN ONE MONTH'S TIME DROPPING MY PSA LEVELS BY SUCH A HUGE AMOUNT IN ONE MONTH'S TIME.

You can contact me via Email. GOD Bless........Louis

February 2019

Well , It's been awhile since I updated my condition. I am currently on an aggressive treatments of Fulvic and Humic Acid. I decided to stop the hormone treatment on hold for awhile (give the body a break). As in my previous entries, I still encourage these products. I'm back on Xtandi for a month now. PSA is up a little, but considering the time since I've been on my own protocol, it didn't rise to much. Main reason for this update is mainly change my e-mail address. I am on the cusp of retiring at the age of 62. Feeling good!! and ready to go. GOD bless Louis

May 2019

Hi friends, back for an update . Well my PSA has risen back up to 548. !! Can't say it's a surprise as this type of cancer adapts and survives what ever you throw at it. Xtandi seems like it no longer is working , so my only option in the medical world is CHEMO !!! Really after all these years of research... ??!! Well that's not going to happen. I'm about to start a protocol that is pretty much off the wall. It deals with a chemical called Fenbendazole and vitamin E Succinate together .Three days on and four days off. This information can be found at .cancertreatmentsresearch.com/fenbendazole/ . I will be looking to retire this year at the age of 62 . I will update with future PSA results ... now that my treatments are all going to be hollistic . GOD bless you all . Louis
