Mike C lives in Western Australia. He was 59 when he was diagnosed in March, 2017. His initial PSA was 7.90 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 7b, and he was staged T2b. His initial treatment choice was Surgery (Retropubic Prostatectomy) and his current treatment choice is None. Here is his story.

THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2019 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.

Had my yearly check up like i always do ..2016 Doctor first told me PSA was 5 come back next year and we see what it is. Went back in next year Jan 2017 PSA WAS 7.9

Referred to Urologist, did a prostate Biopsy which confirmed I had Prostate Cancer with a Gleason 4+3 =7

Grade 4 - 80% Pathologic stage T2a. I decided to have Open Radical Prostatectomy. My Urologist talked me into it and he did the operation in May 2017.

Pathology Report Conclusion

Gleason Score 4+3-7 . Grade 4-8% The Idex Tumour (15 x 7 x 20mm) Involves the left lobe with focal extraprostatic extension into Periprostatic soft tissue. All SURGICAL MARGINS ARE NEGATIVE FOR MALIGNANCY PATHOLOGIC STAGE T3a

Went back in 26/11/17 PSA 0.06

Another blood test in 08/12/17 PSA 0.12

Now I have been referred to a Radiation Oncologist, waiting for blood test result in March 2018.

My concern I thought I was cancer free so did the Surgeon, so now I am worried.
