Problems Mailing List (PPML) This is an unmoderated forum which discusses
problems and treatments related to men's prostate gland. Discussion includes symptoms,
diagnosis, treatment alternatives, complications and personal impact. The intent

PPML archives are a
very useful resource where you can review discussions that have taken place on
the List
Prostate Cancer
Support - This List does not have as high a volume as the PPML List but with
800 plus members a wide variety of subjects are discussed. It has a number of
British members, so that some of the focus is on issues related to PCa in Britain.
The
Prostate Cancer Charity Message Board - British based
and therefore of particular interest for people in Britain, this Forum nevertheless
has international members and cover a broad range of prostate cancer specific
discussion groups.
WebMD (Prostate Cancer section) message board - most of the founding members
of Yana met on this forum. You can join it by simply registering.
A Prostate Cancer Forum

Surgery - RP -
A mailing list dedicated to the needs and concerns of radical prostatectomy patients.
The sole purpose of this list is to narrowly focus on the concerns of those who
have already had an RP or have selected RP as their treatment.
Radiation - EBRT
offers discussion and support for patients interested in any form of radiation
therapy for prostate cancer.
SeedPods-
A mailing list for those interested in brachytherapy (radioactive seed implants)
as a treatment for prostate cancer.
IceBalls-
A mailing list offering information and support to those interested in cryosurgery
for prostate cancer.
Hormone - CHB
offers discussion and support for patients interested in any form of hormonal
blockade. This includes: orchidectomy, medical hormonal blockade [lupron, flutamide,

Watchful Waiting-
WW offers discussion and support for patients interested in Watchful Waiting as
a strategy for the management of prostate cancer.
HIFU - This is a newly established Board
for men interested in HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) as a treatment

Physician To Patient p2p- The purpose of the p2p mailing list
is to provide the prostate cancer patient or other interested parties with information
from physicians about the treatment of prostate cancer. This is a moderated list
without the high volume normally associated with mailing lists or the frequent
off-topic questions.

is a fairly complex Message Board covering all aspects of prosate cancer and treatment
options. It can look a little intimidating to newcomers, but the small amount
of effort required to get onto the board makes it well worthwhile.
Prostate Cancer and
Intimacy- PCAI is a mailing list for frank and open discussion of the sexual
issues surrounding PCa.
Prostate
Cancer and Gay Men Is a mixture of gay, straight and bi-sexual men, although
the majority are gay. One of the main comments from the straight men in the group
when asked why they chose to join a gay group is that it is a younger crowd which
discusses treatment and sexuality after treatment more frankly and openly than
most straight prostate cancer groups.

Support for wives, families, friends, and significant others of men with prostate
cancer-and, of course, the men themselves.
Spirit- Spirit
is a mailing list for those who want to share spiritual support as they live with
prostate cancer.
Promise- A
mailing list for those grieving a loss. Also offers help and support to those
