Although there is good information on many Internet sites, you may find them confusing and you might prefer to "talk" to people dealing with the same issues. There are many places on the Internet where you can do this apart from the Forum on this site. A selection of those focussing on prostate cancer which can provide both information and support are shown below. One of particular interest to the wives and female partners of diagnosed men is A Prostate Cancer Forum for Ladies Only a group dedicated to educating women about Prostate Cancer; its treatments and side effects.

If you have not used a Mailing List previously, you might find it helpful to read the FAQ - Frequently asked Questions.

YANA Forum - available for the discussion of anything to do with Prostate Cancer. There are only two rules: no commercials and no flaming - be polite at all times.

Prostate Problems Mailing List (PPML) This is an unmoderated forum which discusses problems and treatments related to men's prostate gland. Discussion includes symptoms, diagnosis, treatment alternatives, complications and personal impact. The intent is to help patients and their loved ones understand their illness and make informed treatment decisions; to encourage self-study of the effects and treatment of prostate diseases; and to support research into the cause and cure of prostate problems as well as encourage effective health care. With well over 1,000 members there can be a relativelt high volume of posts which cover a wide variety of subjects.

You can join by clicking the link above or by sending an e-mail to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.ACOR.ORG The Subject must be left blank or have a dash and the only thing in the body of the mail must be SUB PROSTATE Firstname Lastname (substitute your real name for Firstname Lastname). If you have any problem subscribing you can mail here

PPML archives are a very useful resource where you can review discussions that have taken place on the List
