Jorge
Petzl lives in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He was 46 when he was diagnosed in November
2006. His initial PSA was 2.4 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 6 and he was staged
T2a. His choice of treatment was Surgery. Here is his story. EM

At
this first moment I would like to thank all of those that helped me through this
fabulous site. In South America I haven't found any help group or individuals
to exchange thoughts and or to get help from. Thus I had patients from the US
and some other parts of the world as support during the time between my diagnosis
and my R/P treatment and also for the recovery after R/P.
I would like
to contribute and extend my help to all around the world but want to be able to
help also those in South America that do not speak English and need some help
locally in Portuguese or Spanish. Therefore I will tell my full story later and
at this moment just add some comments in Portuguese for people around here. Thanks

Apos meu
diagnostico em Nov. 2006, com Gleason 6, PSA 2.5 e estagio t2a, eu pesquisei durante
meses nos eua, na europa e no brasil pela melhor forma de tratamento. Finalmente
optei pela prostatectomia radical realizada em junho 2007.
Cada caso é
differente e merece sua devida forma de tratamento. Eu posso informar sobre radioterapia,
hifu, imrt, brachyterapia, cirurgia aberta e robotica e muitas outras formas de
tratamento.
